DOKIMOS PLUS

The Reducer® treatment process is present in Dokimos Plus valves, designed and implanted for more than 20 years.
The DOKIMOS PLUS Valvular Prosthesis is produced with Reducer ‘s ® special treatment of bovine pericardium, which increases the tissue’s biological stability.

The Reducer ® special treatment optimizes the cross-link, increasing the tissue’s biological stability, in addition to reducing antigenicity and lipidic content. Furthermore, it does not submit the tissue to fixation stress (zero pressure), preserving structural integrity. Valve assembly is performed so as to allow complete opening of the leaflets, resulting in an important reduction of the gradient, particularly in the smallest diameters. The position of the suture ring allows both annular and supra-annular implantation.

The abrasion of the biological tissue is avoided by interposal of a delicate pericardium membrane at the valve post level.
Pericardium thickness is determined for each valve diameter, as well as the leaflets’ height and coaptation area, thus reducing the potencial of prolapse and leakage and increasing resistance o fadigue, resulting in long durability of the implanted prosthesis.
